CAPGEMINI Business Competition - A chance to win £2,500 !

Are You A Super-Techie????
Business Competition -
Capgemini

A chance to win a cash prize of £2,500!

Capgemini is ‘one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services’ .
The are running a business competition, which closes on 9th November, with the chance to win £2,500, be mentored by one of Capegemini’s team and to attend the final in London.

When you register students will be sent a case study, business problem to solve:

The competition will ask teams of two people to review a business case study, and to make innovative recommendations to solve the challenges involved.

The competition is called “Super Techies”, but is open to teams with a mixture of business and technical backgrounds, which we’d like to encourage.

The teams will be asked to submit a short (three slides) presentation to outline their solution, and then the best of the teams will be invited to heats which will be judged by Capgemini.

The successful teams from the heats across the country, plus from our online competition will be invited to a UK Final in our London offices which will take place early in 2015.

One Competition. One Business Problem. Your Solution.

Super Techies UK 2015 gives you the chance to:

- Apply what you’ve learned on your course to a real-life challenge, and get feedback from industry experts!
- Add to your CV to differentiate yourselves in a tough graduate marketplace.
- Represent your University.
- Win the title of UK Super Techies Champion 2015 and a prize of £2,500.

The Capgemini Super Techies Show has run out of Capgemini India for the last three years, historically being open to teams of experienced professionals, whom it asks to solve complex business challenges using innovation.

In 2015, Capgemini UK is bringing the competition to University students in the UK, asking teams of two people to review a technology-related business case study and to make recommendations in a 3-slide presentation.

The teams with the best presentations will get the chance present it back to a panel of Capgemini experts in a heat stage of the competition held in Manchester in the lead up to Christmas, and the winners of each heat will then get the opportunity to compete for the Super Techies 2015 title in Capgemini UK’s Holborn office in February next year.

The competition is such a unique opportunity for you to enhance your CV, get exposure to a large multinational company within this industry, as well as represent your University and meet new people.

Not to mention that the winners of Super Techies 2015 will win a cash prize of £2,500!

Counselling, Health and Wellbeing Service

Starting university can be an emotional time, as you will be leaving things, people and places that are familiar to you.  The first few weeks at university can be exciting and can be a time when you feel isolated and alone.

It is important to know that to feel homesick is not about being weak or childish.
It is important however that you do not sit in your room feeling lost and there are things you could do to feel better.

There is a workshop on Monday 27th October arranged by the Counselling, Health and Wellbeing service to help you deal with homesickness and look at factors you need to consider if you are thinking of leaving university. Why not come along and meet other students who are feeling similar to yourself.

Please contact Counselling, Health and Wellbeing Service on   0161 247 3493
for the details and put your name down for this workshop.
