STARS OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER WINNERS & NOMINEES

WINNERS

The two winners of November’s Star of the Month were:

Alex Sanders (Msc Economics & Financial Analysis)

Eric Man Ho Lee (Level 5 – Accounting & Finance)

Alex Sanders   (Msc Economics & Financial Analysis)

The details of the nomination are:

I would like to nominate Alex Sanders from the MSc Economic & Financial Analysis for this award. This nomination is based on his general high level of performance and commitment on this difficult course; furthermore he has greatly assisted in and outside of class providing a high level of peer support in econometrics and general economic theory. Several of his classmates have remarked that he has really helped them with this very challenging aspect, including one where this was instrumental in the student staying on the course.

Eric Ho Man Lee Bamford   (Level 5 - Accounting and Finance)

The details of the nomination are:

Since the start of term, Eric has worked extremely hard at putting his learning into practice.  He works quietly, but diligently, in his tutorials and then will write up answers to tutorial questions and send to his tutor for marking.  This in itself is an impressive attitude, but what is more impressive is the fact he has taken constructive critique of his work on board and used this to adapt his approach, resulting in an excellent standard of answer which he has maintained ever since. I was so impressed by his work, and the improvement gained through taking and acting upon feedback, that I asked Eric if he would be happy for me to share his work with his fellow students as examples of best practice.  Without hesitation, Eric gave me permission to do so, and I know other students will benefit greatly from being able to review his work.

The example that Eric sets to his fellow students is exemplary, and on a personal level this approach will stand him excellent stead to achieve his academic and ultimate career goals.

If you know these students, please do congratulate them on their achievement!
The full list of nominations is given below.
