2019  TAEKWONDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Calling all students?
Are you interesting in gaining some experience of working on a world-class sports event, that could help your future career?
GB Taekwondo is hosting the 2019 Taekwondo World Championship being held in Manchester, between Wed 15th – Sun 19th May 2019.
They are looking to recruit 400 - 500 volunteers to support the 1,000 athletes and 150+ nations taking part in this event – in roles covering areas such as stewarding, media, PR, athlete support, ticketing, ceremony presentation, broadcasting, registration, Meet and Greet service, with some roles requiring input prior to the start of the event.
 
The recruitment of volunteers has started.
James Johnson, Volunteer Manager and Events Intern, (one of our Sports Management students - on placement) is managing the volunteers for this event. 
James will be delivering a presentation of the opportunities on Monday 28th January, 14:00-15:00 in G 35.

Deloitte are coming in on Wed 13th Feb at 1pm to deliver a workshop to students in 1st or 2nd year from ANY degree course.
