EASTER BREAK: The placement team are here, providing our usual service throughout the Easter break, apart from the bank holiday days of Friday 25th March and Monday 28th March. If you are around campus we can still meet for 1-2-1s, or alternatively we can provide support over the telephone or via email if that is more convenient.  We do have some free 1-2-1 slots this week too, so why not book an update appointment before you finish?

SPORTS RELIEF CHALLENGE - Take Part ! Bikeathon or Swimathon


This month, we’re taking part in Sport Relief, but we need your help!

We’d like to invite you and your team to take part in our Bikeathon or Swimathon (or both, for extra brownie points!) to raise money and awareness for this incredible cause.


Our challenge starts with our Bikeathon on Wednesday 16th March and runs until Friday 18th March

We’ve challenge ourselves to cycle the 543.2 miles between the Blackpool Tower and the Eiffel Tower, all from the comfort of The Union.  You can pedal alone, or take parts in teams of three.

Swimathon

Our Swimathon takes place on Friday 18th March! Join us at the Manchester Aquatics Centre between 11:30am and 2:00pm, pledge your lengths and swim!

To take part in our challenge, we’re asking participants to donate £5 to Sport Relief.  There’s lots more information about our challenge on our blog, but if you have any more questions then just let me know!

Warwick Economics Summer School 2016 - July 17th – August 5th 2016



The Department of Economics at The University of Warwick is launching its next Warwick Economics Summer School, a three week programme which will run from July 17th – August 5th 2016.
The Summer School will be taught by world leading Economists including Professors Ken Binmore CBE, Andrew Oswald and Marcus Miller. Over the past two years, 100% of our student cohort said they would recommend our programme to a friend.

Inspirational Evening Programme

We offer an inspirational programme of evening talks with eminent guest speakers. Nobel Prize winner, Professor George Akerlof and The Right Honourable Hazel Blears are confirmed so far to deliver special guest lectures to students. Other evening speakers for 2016 will be announced over the coming months.

Fantastic Social Programme

In the tuition fee we also include a fantastic social programme including day trips to London with a guest lecture at the Shard, Stratford-Upon-Avon and the dreaming spires of Oxford. We have a number of dinners, a quiz and film night, afternoon tea with the Head of Department, sports tournaments and more. Accommodation and catering packages are available to suit a variety of budgets.

It is an excellent opportunity for students to further enhance their skills and knowledge in Economics through studying at one of the leading Economics departments in Europe.
