Mentor Me ... Has Been Launched! Current Level 4 AFE Relevant

Mentor Me … has been launched!
I am delighted to announce that we are now ready to accept applications for the new Manchester Metropolitan Mentoring programme. Please see full details below ...

Mentor Me provides students with the opportunity to benefit from contact with a working professional who will act as their mentor. Students will have a valuable opportunity to gain an insight into the world of work, learning from the experience and knowledge of a mentor.
Our mentors can also help students to consider their career options and the steps required to achieve their career goals.
Graduate outcomes form an important part of the proposed TEF. Social mobility remains a government priority and as a leading university, we aim to evidence more clearly the positive impact that we have in respect of supporting widening participation. Raising aspirations, improving student confidence and graduate resilience can also be supported by improved access to mentoring opportunities as part of a managed programme within the University. It also provides a platform to build upon relationship that we have with alumni and employers.

As part of piloting this programme, we would like to invite students who are currently in their first year and studying Accounting, Finance and Economics to apply for a mentor. Applications will need to be submitted online between
1 April and 30 June 2017. Successful students will be notified by the end of September and will then be mentored from October 2017 to May 2018.

Kind regards
Josie
