Dear All, Welcome to this week’s Placements Bulletin,

Please note that there is PLENTY of time left for you to be applying for placements!!!

Lots of Amazing local employers should be advertising over the coming months and also multiple NHS trusts in and around greater Manchester! So NO, It isn’t too late ( as a few of you have been in contact to ask) Placements will continue to be advertised from now right through to August – so you need to continue as you are, checking career hub and reading my weekly updates!

Don’t miss out on securing a placement, think about how you can use this experience when you are attending GRADUATE interviews. Think of all the skills you will have developed and enhanced, all of the experience you will have gained – this is all VERY desirable to a graduate employer – they will snap you up!

Presentations Workshop on Tuesday 16^th @1pm in Brooks (Birley Campus) - This may be of use to those of you who could with improving this skill. I know from experience that some employers in particular some of the local NHS trusts do incorporate a presentation stage into their process.

How to write winning CV’s Wednesday 17^th Jan @ 1.30pm

This workshop explores different CV formats and covering letters, and the key qualities employers look for that will make you stand out from the crowd and bag an interview.

PwC Office Open Event – Tuesday 13^th Feb @ 6.30pm

Whether you're an undergraduate, postgraduate, graduate or ready for a second job, you can pick up loads of information about PwC's work and decide which of their career options interests you most at this office based event.

You'll have the opportunity to spend some time in one of the offices across the UK, discovering what PwC do, how, why and where they do it, and who they do it for. You’ll find out where a career with PwC can take you – and how far you could go – and you'll be able to ask PwC staff questions face-to-face and get a better grasp of the business.
