LSE Emerging Markets Forum, 9th - 10th of March 2018, De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London.

My name is Antonia Teau and I am writing to you as part of the Executive team of the London School of Economics Emerging Markets Forum (LSEEMF).

It would be an honour to invite all members of Manchester Metropolitan University's Department of Economics, Policy and International Business to the LSEEMF on 9th and 10th of March 2018, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London.

The LSEEMF is an annual conference now in its 9th edition and has grown to become one of the largest and most successful conferences in the world and forms an important platform for world leaders to discussion on the most relevant, timely, and pressing global issues and phenomena that drive the emerging, developing, and frontier markets around the world today.

The LSEEMF attracts a gathering of the world’s most influential business, political, and academic leaders over 2 days of keynotes, chaired discussions, and workshops. This year, some of our themes we will revolve around the global impact of the 'One Belt One Road’ initiative by China, the rise of anti-microbial resistance, the challenges of investing into Africa, and how renewable energy and technologies will shape the emerging world.

The LSEEMF also serves as a unique international gathering for 250 international students attending from leading academic institutions around the world, and we encourage the delegates to also network with the speakers and our sponsors over the 2 days.

The full agenda for this year’s forum can be found at http://www.lseemf.com/2014/agenda-2018/

and the registration page at http://www.lseemf.com/2014/registration/.

As a preliminary session to the LSEEMF we will host an exclusive free and non-ticketed talk and networking event with Sir John Studzinski (Vice-Chairman of the Blackstone Group) on Thursday the 22nd February 2018, 6.30pm at LSE Old Theatre.

We would appreciate if you could share this information with your students. We look forward to hearing from you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions on a.teau@lse.ac.uk

Kind regards,

Antonia Teau
