Job description

The Accountancy People is now a team of 10 and are growing quickly whilst all the time improving the ‘client experience’ and our internal systems. Yes we're going to substantially grow the business by effective marketing, for sure, but also by giving huge amounts of value to our clients and by having a great relationship with them.

We have clients all over Greater Manchester including the City centre, but you will be based in our M19 office. If you want to be trained:

·         by a small team of people who genuinely care about your development,

·         where you’ll be given responsibility early,

·         where you will make a difference to how the firm is run,

·         where you will get lots of contact with our clients,

·         where relationships matter as much as technical knowledge,

·         by a firm that is at the forefront of technology and client service,

·         by a fast growing business giving you great career prospects, then we’d like to meet you.

Application information

To be considered for this role, you need to submit a CV and Covering Letter to gradmatch@mmu.ac.uk covering the below questions

Your covering letter must answer the following questions to be considered for this post:
1.    We simply can't achieve our goals without an outstanding team. We are now ready to add to our team. Are you the right person?

2.    A career in accountancy is no soft option - it's hard work. We'll want you to train as an ACA or an ACCA, studying in your spare time - are you up to the challenge?

3.    You need to look at out website to find out about us www.theaccountancypeople.co.uk. Why do you want to work for The Accountancy People in particular?

4.    I will want you to have a great relationship with our clients, really getting to know and understand their needs - can you demonstrate how you can do this?

5.    You'll need a really systematic approach and a careful eye for detail. Why do you think that’s you?

6.    You’ll need to get to our office, how will you do that?

The employer is expecting loads of applications, so they will have to be brutal when they look through them. To be successful you need to explain and show them precisely how you can answer the questions they've raised. If you just send in a ‘CV’ and a generic covering letter you will have excluded yourself.

If you would like help with your application, please take a look at our handout here and come to our Jobs Hub CV drop in any weekday between 1pm-4pm.
