Hopefully this
email will give you a clear overview of upcoming key employability events
and activities going on in the Business School over the next few weeks!
Good news!
We now have
lots of dates set for IT Envy briefing and
exams in May and June.
This is an
opportunity for you to get free online training and qualifications from
Microsoft in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook or Access.
If you are
interested in this, you must attend a briefing session and then complete work
in your own time before booking in for the exam.
For more
details, contact our employability skills coordinator (Hayley.Wright@mmu.ac.uk), although as soon as she has the booking details she will be
sending out an additional message, so look out for this too!

MMU Careers
& Employability are running a week full of workshops, employer networking
events and expert advice sessions, all aimed at helping you to prepare for life
after graduation and boost your career.
3rd June
This jobs fair aims to bring job opportunities across a variety of
different industries to locals in and around Manchester. The event will include application and CV
advice as well as the chance to meet numerous different employers with
vacancies. The fair is open to students
at all stages of their studies, including final year (so that means you!!)

The Chimney House Alliance is looking for enthusiastic, creative
graduates to inspire
young people within the Cheshire East area in both primary and secondary education – they have asked us to let our final year students know all about them … so why not take a break from the revision and come along on May 13th to find out more?

The
Environment Team are offering 80 students the opportunity to become carbon
literacy accredited. As a student, you can attend a one day session to get a
better understanding of climate change and social equity as well as what you
can do to act on climate change both as an individual and in your future
career.

know that there are currently 462 graduate roles being
advertised on the MMU Careers Service Jobs board!! Why not take a look at www.mmu.ac.uk/findajob
You can
also book a 1-2-1 appointment with a Careers Advisor by calling 0161 247 3483.
This is a
service available to those who have a clear career path in mind, and those who
don’t!
Part time Jobs and Work Experience
Hayley
Wright (our Employability and Skills coordinator) will be posting up
opportunities as and when she finds them through social media and many of these
roles have a very short closing date (so keep your eyes on this
regularly!) The group is only open to
students from our faculty.
There are
also 101 part time jobs and work experience roles being
advertised on the MMU Careers Service Jobs Board.
