Homesickness / Anxiety / Mindfulness Workshops - SEPT /OCT 2015



Forthcoming workshops for September & Early October 2015


Feeling homesick or thinking of leaving?  Just come along no need to book

Feeling lost, not sure if you fit in or if university is right for you.  Don't be alone with your thoughts, as it is natural to feel homesick. Come along to meet others who share similar thoughts and feelings to find a way forward.

Emotional Freedom Technique (‘tapping’)  Just come along no need to book

This workshop will show you how to use EFT, a mind/body approach that has been described as ‘psychological acupressure’.  It’s quick and easy to learn. .

Uncomfortable with social situations?  Worried or avoiding social contact?  Learn about social anxiety and how to overcome it.

Overcoming Sleep Problems  Just come along no need to book

Poor sleep is a common problem. Persistently disrupted sleep can leave us feeling exhausted, stressed and anxious.  The workshop aims to show how making changes in your lifestyle can help to get a better night’s rest. It will also look at how to establish a good sleeping pattern.

Learn what anxiety is, what keeps it going for you, and how you can start to challenge your thinking and coping mechanisms in order to reduce anxiety, and ultimately manage it better.

Using mindfulness meditation to learn to focus on the present rather than worrying about the past or the future.
