Dear Colleagues,
This is to announce that on 14th November, Wednesday next
week, the Department of Economics, 'Manchester School' and Global Development
Institute of the University of Manchester will co-host the public lecture (from
5 pm) and the masterclass (from 2.30 pm) by Professor Lord Nick Stern (LSE) and
Professor Himanshu (Jawaharlal Nehru University) based on their new book
entitled "How Lives Change: Palanpur, India and Development
Economics". Details are found in the attachments and below. All are
invited.
Please note that registration is necessary for
masterclass (it would be appreciated if you could forward the details to
your PhD students who may be interested - staff are also very welcome).
