The Generation
UK China programme is funded by the British Council. This is open to current
students and recent graduates who hold a British passport.
What is it?
The Generation UK
– China summer programme is an 8 week intensive language and internship
placement opportunity including:
· three weeks of intensive Mandarin language study
at a leading university
· a five-week internship placement in an industry
sector of your choice
The programme is
designed to provide participants with a good foundation in Chinese language and
cross-cultural awareness, before undertaking an internship placement and using
newly acquired language skills to further understanding of their sector choice
in China.
What are the costs?
Generation UK -
China funding will cover all language classes, cultural activities, internship
placement fees, accommodation and comprehensive travel insurance, as well as
airport pick-up and dedicated support throughout the placement.
Students will
need to pay for flights, visa and any other costs associated with travel and
living in China.
