Successful Law Careers Event

Manchester Law School students impress at Meet the Employers event

Over 70 students attended the first ‘Careers in Law - Meet the Employers’ event on Wednesday 13 April. Organised by Manchester School of Law and Careers & Employability, this was a fantastic opportunity for students to speed network with a variety of law firms, legal services companies, legal recruitment agencies and chambers, and find out about the various work experience and graduate job roles available.

Organisations including BCL Legal, Express Solicitors, JMW, Manchester and Salford City Council and Peninsula Business Services provided students with valuable information about the types of skills, qualities & experience that legal employers are seeking.

Feedback from both students and employers has been overwhelmingly positive, with comments including:

“It was extremely interesting and informative. It gave me an idea of alternative opportunities and gave me a good insight into the way in which the different law firms operate.”

“Good event, well organised and a terrific response from students.”
